The sequel to the 2004 hit follows the hero family after their defeat of Syndrome and battle with the Underminer. The family faces the tough transition to “normal” life. While heroes are back in the limelight.

Big Hero 6: The Series

Despite a few setbacks Big Hero 6: The Series will premiere on Disney Channel and the DisneyNow app. Even though there was a change to the original release date mentioned in a past Reboots, Remakes, Sequels and More it’s still exciting to see the series launch. Though “Baymax Returns Part I” the one-hour series premiere did air November 20, 2017, on Disney Channel.

Hotel Transylvania 3: Summer Vacation

The Dracula clan is back in another movie. Leaving the hotel behind for a cruise vacation. Tides begin to shift when Dracula develops feelings for the ship’s Captain Erika. Though roles reverse as Mavis takes on the overprotective parent position. Unbeknownst to the lot Captain Erika is actually a descendant of Abraham Van Helsing, therefore an ancient Dracula family nemesis.

 

Teen Titans GO! To the Movies

Teen Titans GO! take a slightly satirical, hyper self-aware and humorous take on superhero movies within their own movie. Follow the team as they try to have a film made about them in an era where every major superhero has a film. As Robin states, “having a movie is the only way to be seen as a real hero.” The task becomes difficult when the team learns they are not regarded as serious heroes. The solution, finding an archnemesis thus becoming worthy of a movie.

 

Christopher Robin

Journey back to the Hundred Acre Wood in this live-action/CGI reimagined take on Winnie-the-Pooh. Christopher Robin is all grown up and has lost his imagination. Pooh seeks out Christopher Robin’s help to find his friends. After the task is complete Pooh decides it’s up to them to help save Christopher Robin’s imagination. Good luck holding back the tears from this trailer.

Spider-Man: Into The Spider-Verse

Last year the movie was called an “Untitled Animated Spider-Man Project” by Sony when listed in the Honey and Fox Spring 2017 Reboots, Remakes, Sequels and More post. Making it exciting to see the much anticipated trailer to the titled feature Spider-Man: Into The Spider-Verse. Furthermore a slated theatrical release is set for December.

Gotta admit this trailer looks HOT.

Spies in Disguise

Based on an original animated short film by Lucas Martell, titled “Pigeon: Impossible”, the Spies in Disguise will star Will Smith and Tom Holland. The plot of the reference material short film revolved around a secret agent almost triggering a “global conflict when a pigeon gets stuck in a government-issued nuclear briefcase”.

ThunderCats Roar!

Cartoon Network | 2019 | Reboot
ThunderCats enter another reincarnation in an imaginative comedy-based reboot. It’s likely though nostalgic filled fans of the 80s may have mixed feeling about this iteration of Thundercats. The animation style and humor fits the current mold of shows aimed at this current generation of kids. No matter what version is preferred we can all shout “ThunderCats ho!”.

Animaniacs reboot coming to Hulu

The Animaniacs reboot was first mentioned on Honey and Fox in the Adult World Weekly News series. Both Hulu and Warner Bros announced the big news on January 4, 2017 and set the premier date for 2020.

Invader Zim

Nickelodeon | No air date set | Reboot
Arriving in a 90-minute, 2D-animated format the “Invader Zim” movie is being produced at Nickelodeon’s Burbank HQ. The “Invading Soon-ish” teaser below will have you yelling at Nickelodeon for a set premiere date. In the meantime enjoy more Zim banters.

 

Untitled Sabrina Project

Netflix | Auspices: Berlanti Productions in association with Warner Bros. Television | Reboot
Sabrina the teenage witch will return to cast spells on Netflix. So far the title character actress has already been announced. Netflix has ordered 20 episodes in an one-hour long drama format.
